High School Geography 2008-2009 -Class was cancelled.
Purpose: To understand "what in the world" is going on with God's creation, and thereby, the student is better equipped to pray, give, or visit those countries. Also, that God will be glorified as the student pursues the wonders of His creation. Lastly, that the student gains a greater appreciation for his country.
Skill Levels: 8th-12th
Class Summary: Wouldn't it be exciting to turn your geography studies into a guided trip around the world? This course will take your student on an adventure-packed journey to each continent. In addition to identifying geography terms and reading and creating maps, students will explore cultures, religions, political systems, and animal and fauna life. Lastly, the student will identify and pray for Christians in persecuted countries.

5th-7th: Schoolhouse Intermediate World Atlas, notebook, and Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Vern
8th-12th: Answer Atlas, notebook, and Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Vern
Times: Fridays 1:30 to 3:30
Dates: September 19 2008 - May 2009
Parental Involvement: Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate!
Tuition:
8th-12th: $280 + $20 supply fee
The teacher: For over 20 years Molly has enjoyed teaching her own children. They have gone on to succeed in higher education and employment, marked by high test scores, debating nationally, the Presidential Honor Roll, and successful entrepreneurial ventures. In addition, she has 18 years of experience teaching special education to an intellectually-challenged child.
Molly approaches teaching through a hands-on, interactive method. Adapting to the child's learning style, Molly makes the process fun, through games and other activities.
She has extensive training in phonetic approach to reading and spelling, as well as a broad knowledge of history, science and mathematics.
Molly also has a BA degree from Oregon State University.
