Grades: advanced 8-12

Days/Time: Tue 10:00-11:00

Cost: $360 or $46 per month for 8 months plus $15 materials fee

Class Description:

covers all topics normally taught in first-year algebra, (proofs, statistics, and probability), integrated with more Geometry.  Students will be responsible for daily problem sets and tests at home.  Class time will be used for introduction to new concepts, real-life applications, questions, and some individualized instruction. Classes begin September 9, 2008.

PRE ALGEBRA

DUE TO DEMAND THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A SAXON MATH 87

Grades:  7th – 9th

Day/Time:   Tues & Thurs. 12:00-1:00

Cost:             $340 if paid by the first class or $45 per month for eight months.   

Class Description: covers all topics normally taught in prealgebra, (compressions, approximating roots, polynomials, advanced graphing, basic trigonometry, and more), as well as additional topics from geometry and discrete mathematics (used in engineering and computer sciences).  Students will be responsible for daily problem sets and tests at home.  Class time will be used for introduction to new concepts, real-life applications, questions, and some individualized instruction. Classes will begin September 9, 2008
