State testing is required for Oregon students finishing grades 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 10th. Washington State requires all students test every year (see homeschool laws for your state regarding more information in this area). Kingfisher offers the CAT 5 (California Achievement Test) to fulfill this requirement for both states. The CAT 5 covers the subject areas of Math and Language Arts and takes about 2.5 hours to complete. State-certified tester, Julie McConnell, administers the test. All grades are welcome for testing and groups (4-12 students) are kept small to insure proper instruction. Private and Semi-private tests are available upon request.
