Worldviews Course, Wed. 11:00am-12:00, beginning the first Wednesday of October and ending the first Wednesday of May, excluding normal holiday breaks. Cost: Free, there is no obligation, though donations will be accepted. Instructors: Brad Riegg, MA Political Thology, BA Combined Economics, Political Science and Spanish, and Chris Riegg, Worldview Academy student for two years and Worldview Course completion through Kingfisher's Curriculum.
This course will be very interactive, with students both creating their own written and audio/visual materials and presenting them to the class for open discussion and debate. Student will also create and share their personal testimony. Time will also be spent reading excerpts from original source materials, such as The Bible, first and foremost, The Communist Manifesto, The Origin of Species, The Humanist Manifesto, The Declaration of Independence, Out on a Limb, The Q'uran, The Bagva-Gita, John Locke's works, The Wealth of Nations, Mere Christianity, etc. Analysis will be given as well to the multi-media, including Disney, and other popular movies. The Starting Points Curriculum will be referenced as a guideline for the course.
The teachers will be learning along with the students in the course, so come prepared to defend your own view of life and reality, and to identify and present other views.

Class Description: High School students will follow David Quine's "Starting Points" Guide in learning about Worldview. The class is broken into several sections- studying a Biblical worldview, identifying literature based on a world view, applying personal knowledge and understanding of the Biblical worldview by examining the ideas contained in various books and movies, learning three different approaches for talking to non-Christians in the 21st century, and much more. Students receive a credit each of Bible, Literature, and History for taking this course. Classes Start September 11, 2008.
